GMEC PARTICIPATES IN BRIGADA ESKWELA 2022 KICK OFF

AUGUST 10 – The Department of Education (DepEd) officially started the nationwide Brigada Eskwela 2022 to promote the partnership of teachers, government officials, stakeholders, volunteers, parents, and students with the theme, “Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral”.

GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) actively participates in the kick-off of Brigada Eskwela in Mt. View Elementary School (MVES) on August 10. The principal of the school, Ms. Gemma F. Dalugdog recognized and thanked GMEC for its solidarity and willingness to engage with and aid the needs of MVES.

GMEC commits to providing school supplies for Brigada Eskwela and participating in cleaning and painting activities. The school assistance provided by GMEC will continue even after the said activity.

Brigada Eskwela brought to life the spirit of Bayanihan where volunteers and public and private sectors work together to provide students with a convenient and clean school where learning comes. As we face the new normal in securing quality education, expect GMEC’s involvement and full support in the safe back-to-back challenge campaign.

It’s been years since COVID-19 shut us down and gripped us with fear. Without exception, everyone is affected by the threat posed by the pandemic. It caused a fierce battle in the field of education on how we will equip the young generation that will be the subject of nation-building in the near future.

Mrs. Roselle R. Alibar, GPTA president stated in her speech,

“Maraming natutulungan ang GMEC na school hindi lamang sa Mariveles, maging sa Bataan”.
