Industrial networks are being targeted by malicious hacking these days and doing nothing about this is not an option. Therefore, due to the importance of our plant system networks and the potential consequences of an attack, new security methods needed to be adopted to support our cyber security requirements.

On September 25, 2021, GMEC DCS* & IT Engineering sections in collaboration with the service provider, Bluevoyant, implemented the comprehensive Claroty CTD cyber security platform for our plant network system. Claroty offers 100% visibility into all three risk variables (Asset, Network Session & Operational Process) in GMEC’s industrial network: OT, IoT*, and IIoT* assets, connections, and processes.

This visibility extends to serial networks, the most granular details of each industrial asset, all actions taken, and changes made during network sessions, and even the code sections and tag values of all G MEC industrial processes.

The CLAROTY solution will help us to easily identify which assets have potential vulnerabilities and prioritize the actions we need to take to eliminate a potential cyberattack.
