About Us
Our History
Formerly known as GMCP, GMEC is a 2×345 MW (gross) coal-fired power plant registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission in 2007. Constructed in 2010, the plant became fully operational in January 2014. It was built by Chinese EPC Contractor – China National Electrical Engineering Corporation (CNEEC). It has a long-term Coal Supply Agreement with PT. Arutmin Indonesia.
Currently, the equity owners of GMEC are:
• Therma Power, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation;
• AC Energy Holdings, Inc.; and,
• Power Partners Ltd. Co.
