GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) marks one major safety milestones on its 5 million safe man-hours with Zero Lost Time Incident (LTI).

This milestone, which was achieved last November 25, 2022, demonstrates GMEC’s commitment to ensuring the health and safety of its workforce, clients, stakeholders, partners, and the residents and visitors of the communities.

In addition to celebrating the milestone, Risk and Assurance (RAD) department awards four (4) Field Excellence Plant Manager Spot Awardees, Mr. Abraham Jose from Operating Department, Mr. Jake Christian Bermudez from Engineering Department, Mr. Junie Cantuangco of the Operating Department, and Mr. Lawrence Limcumpao of the Maintenance Department. These awardees consistently and diligently submitted multiple safety observations and have been very participative in the safety efforts of their respective departments.

The Materials Handling Department consistently been the top contributor of safety observations from October to November 2022. They have completed their BBS submissions even before the end of the month. Collectively, they have also exhibited a high level of safety consciousness, not merely in safety reporting but in initiating immediate actions to prevent injuries in their areas of control
