GMEC-GNPD Pays Tribute to WWII Veterans, Modern-Day Heroes

August is National Heroes Month, a time to commemorate Filipino heroes who have fought valiantly for the freedom of our country. For this reason, 21 employee birthday celebrators of GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) paid tribute to World War II veterans and our modern-day heroes as part of the company’s Project Saysay for the month of August.

GMEC-GNPD supports the road to safety 

Continuing their mission to support sustainable livelihood and improve the lives of their host communities, GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) and GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) gave 70 members of the Barangay Alas-Asin Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA) reflective stickers, defensive driving training, and gasoline fuel assistance in an event held at the Barangay Alas-Asin Covered Court on August 8.  

With the support of Barangay Captain Florante Malimban, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program called TODA MAX aimed to equip tricycle drivers with proper visibility stickers, improve defensive driving skills, and promote responsible road behavior.

GMEC continues P.R.O.G.R.E.S.S through Mangrove Protection Project

GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Provincial Government of Bataan, Municipality of Orani, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and Tubo-tubo Fisherfolks Association for the establishment of Baka1Bataan for its Mangrove Adoptation and Protection Project last June 14.

GMEC environmental strand commences for mangrove nurturing project

Following its kickoff last June 14 for the sealing of Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Provincial Government of Bataan, Municipality of Orani, Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), and Tubo-tubo Fisherfolks Association for the establishment of Baka1Bataan for its Mangrove Adoption and Protection Project, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) finally commenced the project through a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by GMEC AVP for Community Relations Arcel Madrid, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Atty. Antonino B. Roman, PENR Officer Raul Mamac, and PGENRO OIC Raphael De Leon on September 8 at Tubu-Tubo Sitio Pulo.
