Pursuing their goal of contributing to the environment and the community where they operate, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) together with Municipal Environment and Natural Resources of Mariveles held the annual tree planting activity ‘Oktreeberfest’ at Mt. Tarak in Barangay Alas-Asin, Mariveles, Bataan on October 18. 

GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) employees held a gift-giving activity called “Plant-A-Love” for 110 children beneficiaries from Sitio Aguawan and MAAP Road at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) Grandstand and New Parade Ground last December 1.

Last November 28, fifteen birthday celebrators from GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) lifted the spirits of around 32 farmers in Barangay Dangcol, Balanga City, Bataan as part of the company’s Project Saysay. With their salakots and long-sleeved shirts on, the employee volunteers visited the beneficiary farmers in their fields, planting and harvesting corn, sweet potatoes, and sweet potato stems with the locals.

To carry on with its commitment to sustainable development and address climate change, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) continued its Mangrove Adoption and Protection Project in Orani, Bataan with a mangrove planting activity held at Tubo-Tubo, Sitio Pulo last November 17. Around 70 volunteers, including twenty-eight GMEC employees together with seven PGENRO, and thirty-five Tubo-Tubo fisherfolks, planted 500 mangrove seedlings and 500 mangrove propagules in the company’s five-hectare adopted area in the barangay. 

GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC), in cooperation with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), conducted a livelihood training workshop on Basic Bookkeeping and Financial Literacy for Alion Coconaturalia Producer Cooperative (ACPC) members at the lanaiarea of Brother’s Keeper Inn (BKI) last November 22.
