Oktreeberfest 2023: GMEC-GNPD plants trees for a better future

Pursuing their goal of contributing to the environment and the community where they operate, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) together with Municipal Environment and Natural Resources of Mariveles held the annual tree planting activity ‘Oktreeberfest’ at Mt. GMEC-GNPD holds Plant-A-Love for more than 100 children beneficiaries

GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) and GNPower Dinginin Ltd. Co. (GNPD) employees held a gift-giving activity called “Plant-A-Love” for 110 children beneficiaries from Sitio Aguawan and MAAP Road at the Maritime Academy of Asia and the Pacific (MAAP) Grandstand and New Parade Ground last December 1.

GMEC lifts the spirits of Bataan farmers with November Project Saysay

Last November 28, fifteen birthday celebrators from GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co. (GMEC) lifted the spirits of around 32 farmers in Barangay Dangcol, Balanga City, Bataan as part of the company’s Project Saysay. With their salakots and long-sleeved shirts on, the employee volunteers visited the beneficiary farmers in their fields, planting and harvesting corn, sweet potatoes, and sweet potato stems with the locals.

FROM SEEDS TO ROOTS GMEC continues its almost P7M-worth of mangrove adoption and protection initiative in Bataan

To carry on with its commitment to sustainable development and address climate change, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co (GMEC) continued its Mangrove Adoption and Protection Project in Orani, Bataan with a mangrove planting activity held at Tubo-Tubo, Sitio Pulo last November 17. Around 70 volunteers, including twenty-eight GMEC employees together with seven PGENRO, and thirty-five Tubo-Tubo fisherfolks, planted 500 mangrove seedlings and 500 mangrove propagules in the company’s five-hectare adopted area in the barangay.

GMEC initiates an act of cleanup to protect marine life

International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) Month falls in September, hence together with numerous volunteer organizations and companies all around the globe, GNPower Mariveles Energy Center Ltd. Co.
